Ingredients
250g Good Dot Vegetarian Meat
3 tablespoons of oil (we recommend RCM Health Guard Rice Bran Oil)
7-8 whole red chillies
2 tablespoons coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 tablespoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons red chilli powder
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2-3 cups water
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnish
For Flavor:
1 inch piece cinnamon stick
4-5 bay leaves
2 green cardamoms
4 black cardamoms
Method
Step 1: In a mixer jar, grind red chilies, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds to a powder. In this same jar, add in turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and ¼ cup water. Make a fine paste.
Step 2: Heat oil in a deep pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, green cardamoms and black cardamoms and sauté until aromatic. Add chopped onions and fry until the onions turn golden brown. Finally, add ginger garlic paste, stir well, and fry for 1 minute.
Step 3: Now add vegetarian meat pieces and masala paste into a pan and stir fry continuously over a low flame until the vegetarian meat pieces are coated well in the masala. Pour in just enough water to make thick gravy and cook on a low flame until there is a gravy consistency. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
