Proteiz with Potato

100g Good Dot Proteiz

3 Tablespoons RCM Health Guard Oil

100g potato (cut in small cubes)

1 cup finely chopped onions

1 cup finely chopped/pureed tomatoes

1 Tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1 green chili slit

1/4 Tablespoon red chili powder

1/4 Tablespoon coriander powder

1/4 Tablespoon turmeric powder

1 Teaspoon garam masala powder

2-3 cups water

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves for garnish

For the seasoning

1/4 Teaspoon cumin seeds

4-5 black peppercorns

1/2 inch piece of cinnamon

2 cloves

Step 1: Put 100g Proteiz in 1 liter of water and boil it for 6-7 minutes. Drain out the water, let the Proteiz cool, and squeeze out excess water thoroughly. Break Proteiz in small pieces with hands.

Step 2: Pour oil in a pan and let it heat then add cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to splutter, add chopped onions and fry until the onions turn golden brown then add ginger garlic paste. Stir well and cook for 1 minute. Add chopped tomatoes or puree and cook until it begins to leave the sides of the pan. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, green chili, potato then mix well and add ½ cup of water. Cover and cook until half cooked.

Step 3: At this point, add Proteiz and stir well until the Proteiz are coated well in the masala. Pour in water just enough to make thick gravy. Bring the water to a boil and cover. Cook on a low flame for 5 to 8 minutes until the Protiez are cooked well. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
