Veg Meat Saagwala

Ingredients

250 grams Veg Meat
500 grams spinach leaf (palak)
4 whole red chilis
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 big onions, fine chopped
2 tablespoons chopped ginger-garlic
2 big tomatoes, finely chopped
2 teaspoons red chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoons garam masala
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt to taste

For The Marinate

1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste

Method

Step 1: Open the Veg Meat packet and take out the pieces.

Step 2: Marinate Veg Meat with marinate ingredients for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Wash spinach leafs in running cold water then chopped and keep aside.

Step 4: Heat 4 tablespoon oil in a pan/kadai on low flame. Add cumin seed, whole red chilis and let them brown. Add chopped onions, chopped ginger garlic and stir-fry well on low flame until light golden brown.

Step 5: Add chopped tomatoes and all the remaining spices, except green coriander, mix well and cook on low flame until the oil separates.

Step 6: Add marinated Veg Meat and cook on a low flame for 5-8 minutes, continually stir. Do not let it stick. If it is sticking to the pan, add a few drops of water.

Step 7: Add chopped spinach in and cook on a high flame until spinach is cook and water absorbed. Serve hot with roti/naan.
