250 grams Veg Meat
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 big onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
4 big tomatoes, finely chopped
2 teaspoons red chili powder
2 teaspoons coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 bay leaf
1 stick of cinnamon
2 black cardamoms
Step 1: Open the Veg Meat packet and take out the pieces.
Step 2: Marinate Veg Meat with lemon juice and salt for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Heat sufficient oil in a pan/kadai then fry Veg Meat 1-2 minutes and keep set aside. (Frying is optional)
Step 4: Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a pan/kadai on a low flame. Add all the whole spices and let them brown. Add chopped onions and stir-fry until onions turn transparent. Add ginger-garlic paste and stir-fry on a low flame until light golden brown.
Step 5: Add chopped tomatoes and all the remaining spices except green coriander. Mix well and cook on a low flame until the oil separates.
Step 6: Add Veg Meat and cook on a low flame for 1-2 minutes, stirring continually. Do not let it stick in the pan. If sticking, add a few drops of water.
Step 7: Pour in 1 cup of water and mix well. Cover the pan and cook until Veg Meat is well cooked in the masala.
Step 8: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan.
